The Ukrainian military launched an offensive in several districts of the Kursk region of the Russian Federation, which came as a surprise to the enemy. Near the village of Makhnovka, the enemy lost a battalion of North Korean soldiers and Russian paratroopers.

Russian troops conducted 2,704 attacks on the front line and the residential sector of Donetsk region. Apartment buildings in Myrnohrad and facilities of the Chasovoyarsk community were damaged.

The Royal British Armed Forces Sports Council officially recognizes the Army Drone Association. The competition will be held without GPS and stabilization, where 8 pilots will control the drones through a VR headset.

A stele with the name of the city, which was destroyed by Russian shelling on January 2, has been restored in Pokrovsk. Utility workers installed a new, lighter structure in one day on January 4.

The Ukrainian Defense Forces destroyed 3 missiles and 13 Shahed drones from 38 air targets launched by the Russian Federation. 19 imitator drones were locally lost without negative consequences.

In 2024, the Ukrainian Navy ensured the safe passage of 9,061 civilian vessels through the sea corridor. This made it possible to export more than 74.4 million tons of cargo and avoid explosions on sea mines.

The General Staff reports 92 combat engagements per day, 33 of which took place in the Kursk region of Russia. Ukrainian defenders are holding back enemy attacks in various areas and inflicting significant losses on the enemy.
