The Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine announced an increase in the number of units in January 2025 and plans for the future. The development of the troops continues through recruitment, training, and the build-up of unmanned systems.

StratCom of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reports the destruction of nine oil facilities in Russia in January. Among the targets hit were oil depots in Engels, Volgograd, Bryansk and other strategic facilities.

The Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces commented on three acts of violence against military personnel in different regions of Ukraine. Syrskyi emphasized the importance of investigating and punishing the perpetrators, as well as the need to respect rights during mobilization.

Law enforcement officers in Zaporizhzhia region investigated more than 720 crimes against national security. Among those convicted are high-ranking collaborators, including the mayor of Enerhodar and the deputy pseudo-governor.

Over the last day, 93 combat engagements took place, including 39 attacks in the Pokrovsk sector. The enemy launched 3 missile and 36 air strikes, using 992 kamikaze drones.

Rescue operations after a missile strike on Poltava have been completed, killing 14 people, including two children. The President thanked the rescuers and called on partners to strengthen Ukraine's air defense.

There were 52 combat engagements in the frontline, 25 of them in the Pokrovsk sector. The occupants are focusing their main efforts on the Pokrovske and Kupianske directions, shelling the border areas.

A TCC serviceman was shot dead at a gas station in Pyriatyn and his assault rifle was stolen. Police detained two local residents who helped the mobilized man evade service.

A 37-year-old FSB agent was detained in Odesa, collecting data on Ukrainian Armed Forces ships and air defense positions. The offender passed the collected information to the occupiers via a messenger to plan missile attacks.

President Zelenskyy commented on the conflict between the Defense Ministry and the Defense Production Plant, supporting Minister Umerov's actions. According to the president, the minister has the right to do whatever is necessary to ensure uninterrupted supply of the army.

The Russian Federation has opened a criminal case against the commander of the 19th missile brigade of the AFU, Rostyslav Karpusha, for allegedly hitting a boarding school in Suzha. The AFU air force provided evidence that the attack was carried out by Russian aviation.

Over the last day, 110 combat engagements took place in the frontline, most of them in the Pokrovsk sector - 40 attacks. The enemy actively attacked in 10 sectors, but did not achieve any success.

In January 2025, the Ministry of Defense demined more than 8,700 hectares of de-occupied territories. 6,011 explosive hazards were cleared, including 8,682 hectares of agricultural land and 11.38 km of roads.

There were 71 combat engagements in the frontline, with the enemy's greatest activity in the Pokrovsk sector - 22 attacks. The occupants are focusing their efforts on the Pokrovske, Kupyanske, Lyman directions and in the Kursk region.

Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Syrskyi announced an increase in the training period for instructors from 1 to 2 months. The basic training of recruits has also been extended to 1.5 months and new training methods have been introduced.

At a gas station in Pyriatyn, an unidentified man wearing a balaclava shot and killed a serviceman of the Poltava Regional Military Center and stole his assault rifle. The attacker fled with one of the mobilized soldiers.

From February 1, 2025, new banking limits on transfers will be introduced in Ukraine, and electricity tariffs will change. Also, changes will occur in payments to military personnel, and international train tickets will become more expensive.

The General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces confirmed the successful attack on LUKOIL-Volgogradneftepererabotka on the night of January 31. Explosions and flames were reported at the facility, which is one of Russia's ten largest refineries.
