A large fire has broken out in Kyiv near the Darnytskyi railway station. According to preliminary reports, an abandoned building is on fire, but there is no official information from the State Emergency Service.

Sabine Lackner, head of the German Technical Assistance Agency, visited Kyiv to discuss humanitarian aid for the winter. THW has already provided €120 million worth of assistance to Ukraine and plans to continue its support.

A forest fire has been localized in the Balakliya forestry on an area of 43 hectares. Rescuers continue to fight the fire, with 59 people and 16 tankers involved. The head of the RMA claims that the enemy deliberately destroyed the forests.

In Ivano-Frankivsk region, firefighters rescued a stork fledgling that had become entangled in a de-energized power line. Rescuers carefully freed the bird, examined it for injuries and returned it to its nest using a retractable ladder.

A forest fire broke out in Mykolaiv district near the village of Polovynky. The SES localized the fire on an area of 5 hectares, 5 vehicles and 20 firefighters were engaged. The firefighting is ongoing, the cause is being established.

A fire broke out in a 2000-square-meter grain warehouse in the village of Vizyrka, Odesa region. Thanks to the prompt actions of 53 rescuers and 14 units of SES equipment, the fire did not spread, and there were no casualties.

The State Emergency Service reports a stable radiation situation in Ukraine as of 00:00 on August 12. No changes have been detected near Zaporizhzhia NPP, no man-made radionuclides have been detected. Monitoring is ongoing.

A man and his 4-year-old son were killed in a nighttime rocket attack in Kyiv region. Three people, including a 13-year-old child, were seriously injured. Earlier, the region was attacked by drones.

On Lake Svityaz, rescuers rescued six vacationers from a catamaran that began to sink 1 km from the shore. Four men and two women were brought ashore and refused medical care.

An ammunition explosion occurred in the village of Kalyta, Brovary district. The incident killed a 31-year-old man and injured a 12-year-old girl, who was hospitalized.

After the morning attack on Eco-Market, Russians shelled Kostyantynivka again, wounding 2 civilians.

As a result of the Russian shelling of Kostyantynivka, 45 people were injured: 10 killed and 35 wounded. A fire was extinguished in a 1,000-square-meter shopping center, and residential buildings and cars were damaged.

Rescuers have extinguished a large fire in Odesa region that affected a cemetery and a non-residential building. Over the past day, 186 fires broke out in ecosystems across Ukraine, covering an area of almost 140 hectares, most of them in Dnipropetrovs'k region.

In Lutsk, rescuers used special equipment to free a child whose leg was stuck between the wooden structures of a bench.

During the day on August 8, Russian troops shelled Nikopol district of Dnipropetrovs'k region. The attacks killed a man, wounded a 74-year-old, and damaged civilian facilities and infrastructure.

In the Sumy region, mandatory evacuation of 23 settlements in 5 communities under fire is underway. During the day, 35 people were evacuated, including 6 children, and there were dead and wounded.

During the three days of mandatory evacuation, 1010 children from 756 families have been evacuated from the dangerous areas of Donetsk Oblast. The evacuation continues, with another 3,723 children to be evacuated from 28 of the most dangerous settlements.

Russian troops shelled the territory of a hospital in Nikopol. The attack killed a 50-year-old man and damaged the hospital building, garages, cars and a power line.

In the Stryi district of Lviv region, rescuers helped three teenagers who got stuck on an island in the middle of a river. The children were safely brought to the shore and reminded of the importance of following water safety rules.

In Nikopol, Russian troops launched a UAV attack on the territory of the State Emergency Service unit. The attack damaged the windows of the fire station and rescue equipment, but the personnel were not injured.

Evacuation of children from 28 settlements in Donetsk region continues. Over the past day, 372 families with 481 children have been evacuated. The evacuation is taking place in armored vehicles.

An anti-tank mine from the Second World War was discovered in the center of Uzhhorod during sewer cleaning. The SES pyrotechnics removed and destroyed the dangerous find.

In some districts of Ivano-Frankivsk region, 25% to 90% of students will not be able to attend school due to the lack of shelters. Authorities are considering options to ensure the safety of children, including temporary technical solutions and transportation to schools with shelters.

In Volyn region, a 70-year-old woman got lost in the woods. She was found at midnight near a river in a swampy area thanks to the efforts of rescuers, police, dog handlers, and local residents.

In the village of Pereveridiv, rescuers saved a stork that had fallen into an 8-meter-deep well. The bird was taken out using a rescue tripod with a winch and released unharmed into the wild.

In Pokrovsky district of Donetsk region, bomb squad of the State Emergency Service seized and destroyed a FAB-500 bomb. Over the past day, 41 explosive devices were found in the area, and 7.53 hectares of territory were inspected.

Rescuers found four people who had gotten lost in the woods near the village of Nebyliv in Ivano-Frankivsk region. A four-year-old child was among those rescued.

On the M-09 highway near the village of Ozernaya, a truck tractor with a semi-trailer overturned. As a result of the accident, a 61-year-old driver was killed, a fuel leak occurred, but depressurization of the juice tank did not occur.
