The Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine thanked the country's air force for destroying two enemy Su-34 fighter-bombers and one Su-35 fighter during attacks on Ukrainian troops' positions in the east of the country.
According to the commander of the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, three enemy aircraft were destroyed in eastern Ukraine this morning, including two Su-34 fighter-bombers and one Su-35 fighter.
In 24 combat engagements in the Kupyansk sector, Ukrainian troops killed 293 Russian servicemen and destroyed 37 pieces of equipment and weapons.
Russian aircraft continue to bomb southern Ukraine, trying to prove that they still have potential in the air.
Russian troops resumed air strikes along the entire front line in Luhansk region after a lull due to weather conditions. The occupiers are also demanding that local residents register their weapons by 2026 and are trying to manipulate the vote in the March elections.
The Ukrainian military shot down a Russian Su-34 fighter jet in Luhansk region on January 29, according to General Staff spokesman Andriy Kovalev. This happened the same night that Ukrainian defense forces destroyed 15 of 35 Shahid drones launched by Russian forces.
