In January 2025, a medical orderly in the Zhytomyr region stole a wedding ring from the body of a deceased soldier. The court found him guilty and sentenced him to 5 years of imprisonment for desecration of the body of the deceased.
On the night of May 16, russia attacked Ukraine with 112 Shahed-type drones and others. Air defense forces shot down 73 strike UAVs, 36 simulators were lost locationally. Odesa, Zhytomyr, Chernihiv, Mykolaiv, and Kyiv regions were affected by the russian attack.
On the night of May 12, the Russian Federation attacked Ukraine with 108 «Shahed» and other UAVs from different directions. Defense forces shot down 55 «Shahed» in the east, north, south and center of the country, but 30 simulators were lost.
