As a result of the shelling of Lozova's railway infrastructure, a mechanic was killed and four railway workers were injured. In total, 10 people were affected, including two children, which led to changes in the train route.
Ukrzaliznytsia is adjusting the movement of suburban trains in Dnipropetrovsk region from August 4, 2025, due to the security situation. Some routes are shortened to/from Demuryne station, some are temporarily canceled.
The number of evacuated passengers from Dnipropetrovsk and Zaporizhzhia regions significantly increased in July. This is due to the approaching front line, with the main evacuation directions being western Ukraine.

At night, the enemy attacked railway infrastructure in Dnipropetrovsk region. The station in Pavlohrad, tracks, and contact network were damaged, train routes have been changed.
Ukrzaliznytsia strengthened document control during boarding, checking over 300 trains and 41,600 documents since July 25. This led to 38 passengers without tickets and several individuals without documents being denied boarding.
Since the beginning of 2025, 18 teenagers have died due to violations of railway safety rules, which was a consequence of a dangerous pastime – train surfing. RSE s. r.o. supplied 18 gas-piston power plants with a total capacity of 41.4 MW to Ukrzaliznytsia. This happened within the framework of the Energy Support Fund for Ukraine with financial assistance from the Government of Great Britain.
From August 1, "Ukrzaliznytsia" introduces verification through "Diia. Signature" for buying and returning tickets for a number of popular domestic trains. This is intended to reduce abuse, and purchasing tickets for these routes through ticket offices will be unavailable.

Ukrzaliznytsia is adding train No. 702/701 Kyiv – Chernihiv, which will run on July 27 and August 1-3. It will have air conditioning and stops in Vydubychi, Darnytsia, Nizhyn, and named after Borys Oliynyk.

Ukrzaliznytsia has contracted the production of 100 new passenger cars from Kryukiv Railway Car Building Works. The new generation cars will have an extended service life of up to 50 years and an increased level of comfort, including individual climate control and extended sleeping berths.
