Thirteen corruption schemes related to evasion of mobilization and illegal border crossing have been exposed in nine regions of Ukraine. Bribe amounts reached up to 16 thousand dollars, and the perpetrators planned to receive over 4 million hryvnias.

Ukrainian composer, Hero of Ukraine Ihor Poklad died at the age of 84. He was a laureate of the Shevchenko Prize and a People's Artist of Ukraine.

On the night of July 9, in the Kyiv region, a woman born in 1980 was injured as a result of an enemy UAV attack. She was hospitalized with a preliminary diagnosis of a closed chest fracture.

On the evening of July 8, air defense forces are working to eliminate a threat in the sky over Kyiv Oblast. UAVs have been detected, residents are urged to remain in shelters and observe informational silence.

On July 8, hot weather is expected in Ukraine with temperatures up to +39° in most of the territory. In the western regions, short-term rains, thunderstorms, sometimes hail and squalls are forecast, and significant rains in Zakarpattia and Prykarpattia.

The court found the commander of a State Border Guard Service military unit guilty of negligent attitude to service due to the purchase of substandard helmets worth 36 million hryvnias. He was sentenced to 5 years of imprisonment with a 2-year probation period.

As a result of the Russian attack on Kyiv region, houses, vehicles, and garage premises in three districts were damaged. In particular, a private cynological center and an educational institution were affected.

On the night of July 4, Fastiv district of Kyiv region was subjected to a missile attack, which caused significant destruction to residential and industrial sectors. Rescuers extinguished a fire on the roof of a multi-story building and seven private garages, with no casualties.
