Russian troops used the entire arsenal of weapons to shell 40 settlements in Sumy and Chernihiv regions. Mortars, artillery, MLRS, drones and guided aerial bombs were used, causing injuries and damage to civilian objects.

A spokesman for the Siversk unit reported an increase in enemy use of FPV drones and attack UAVs in Sumy and Chernihiv regions. The enemy also continues to shell the border and conduct reconnaissance activities. The situation is tense but under control.

There were 124 combat engagements in the frontline. Most enemy attacks were repelled in the Pokrovske and Toretske sectors. The Ukrainian Armed Forces struck 14 times at Russian troop concentrations.

Over the last day, 70 combat engagements took place along the frontline. The most active offensive actions of the occupants were recorded in the Pokrovsk sector, where the enemy made 16 attempts to storm Ukrainian positions and used anti-aircraft guns.

Due to weather conditions, consumers in Kyiv, Sumy, Chernihiv and Zaporizhzhya regions lost power. Power engineers are working to restore power supply to the affected communities.

According to weather forecaster Natalia Didenko, the air temperature in Ukraine will rise again on August 12. The heatwave will cover the southern, central and northern parts of the country, but night temperatures will be lower than in July.

Today, there will be no scheduled power outages, but 96 settlements in 4 regions are without power due to the weather. The Ministry of Energy urges people to use electricity sparingly, especially during peak hours.
