A dust storm from the Caspian lowland has reached eastern and central Ukraine. The deterioration in air quality will last until Friday, with less dust reaching Kyiv region on October 1-2.

Over the last day, 153 combat engagements took place, with the most active fighting in the Pokrovsk and Kurakhove sectors. Russians conducted 88 air strikes and over 4,400 attacks, while the Ukrainian Armed Forces repelled numerous enemy attacks.

Rains are expected in western Ukraine today, sometimes heavy. The rest of the country will be mostly dry and warm. In Kyiv, there may be short-term rain at night, no precipitation during the day, the temperature will be 17-19°.

Russian invaders continue to storm the positions of Ukrainian defenders. Today, about 20 localities were hit by artillery and mortar shelling.

Rains are expected in the western regions of Ukraine, and sleet in the Carpathians. Partly cloudy weather is forecast for the rest of the country. The air temperature will drop, the wind will increase to 7-12 m/s with gusts up to 15-20 m/s.

Russian troops attacked Semenivka and Snovske communities in Chernihiv region. Artillery, mortars and drones were used, and 17 explosions were recorded. There were no casualties among the local population.

There were 165 combat engagements in the frontline over the last day, 39 of them in the Pokrovsk sector.

The occupants carried out 66 attacks in different directions, most actively in Pokrovske. The enemy is using aviation and artillery in an attempt to advance deeper into Ukrainian territory.

There were 180 combat engagements over the last day, 47 of them in the Pokrovsk sector. The enemy launched 6 missile and 74 air strikes, making 5081 attacks. The defense forces repelled numerous attacks in different directions.

An explosion occurs near Cherkasy. The Ukrainian Air Force reports enemy drones in the Chernihiv region moving westward.

There were 106 combat engagements over the last day. The most intense fighting took place in the Pokrovsk sector, where the enemy made 26 assault attacks. The situation remains tense but under control of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.

The SBU neutralized an FSB agent group operating in Kyiv, Kharkiv and Chernihiv. Three agents were detained who were reconnoitering the locations of the Defense Forces and passing information to a Russian curator.

There were 189 combat engagements over the last day. The enemy launched 2 missile and 75 air strikes, firing over 4,600 times. The Ukrainian Armed Forces repelled dozens of attacks in various frontline areas.

There were 154 combat engagements in the frontline over the last day. The enemy's most active attacks took place in the Pokrovske and Lyman sectors, Ukrainian troops are steadfastly holding back the attack and inflicting maximum losses.

According to the General Staff, 83 combat engagements were recorded at the front. The most intense fighting is taking place in the Pokrovske and Kurakhove sectors, where the enemy launched 27 attacks.

The Minister of Environmental Protection said that the water quality in the Desna River in Kyiv region is normal. The new pollution in the Seim River is less threatening than the previous one, and the situation is stabilizing.

The SES reports 18 large fires in 7 regions of Ukraine covering more than 1300 hectares. More than 1,300 firefighters and 300 units of SES equipment are involved in extinguishing the fires.

After the occupation of Svatove, Brovary became the administrative center for its residents. The city has a powerful humanitarian hub that provides assistance to IDPs from Luhansk and other regions.

Fires in the regions and a change in wind direction have caused smoke in Kyiv. In the absence of new fires, the situation should improve in the coming days, according to the Ukrainian Weather Center.

Over the last day, 162 combat engagements took place. The most intense fighting took place in the Pokrovske and Kurakhove sectors, where Ukrainian troops repelled 35 and 28 attacks respectively.

Chernihiv region has introduced schedules of emergency power outages for consumers in Bakhmach, Nizhyn and Pryluchchyna districts. The outages were introduced through Ukrenergo's team to prevent overloads in the 110 kV network.

Due to enemy shelling in Donetsk, Zaporizhzhya, Poltava, Sumy, Kharkiv, Kherson and Chernihiv regions, thousands of subscribers were left without electricity. Power engineers are working to restore electricity.

Air quality is improving in the northern part of Kyiv, but the situation remains difficult in the south and southeast. The concentration of dust particles is 5 times higher than normal due to fires in the ecosystems of 3 regions.

There is smoke in Kyiv region due to peatland fires in the northern regions. The synoptic situation contributes to the accumulation of harmful impurities, and the radiation background is normal.

Air quality in Kyiv has deteriorated amid shifting winds and fires in peat bogs and open areas in three regions. Rescuers are extinguishing 21 large-scale fires in Ukraine, covering a total area of about 2,200 hectares.

There were 226 combat engagements in the frontline over the last day. The most active attacks took place in the Kurakhove and Pokrovske directions. Russian aviation conducted 18 strikes in the Kursk region, dropping 27 guided bombs.

The coming winter will be the most serious test for Ukraine due to Russian attacks on its energy infrastructure. The IEA predicts an electricity shortage of up to 6 GW and proposes measures to ensure energy security.

At night, the enemy shelled a power facility in Sumy region, cutting off power to Sumy and part of the region. Electricity consumption decreased by 4.3%, but Ukrenergo calls for economical use in the evening.

The enemy attacks Ukrainian positions with missile and air strikes. Ukrainian defenders hold back the onslaught, inflicting maximum losses on the enemy in all frontlines.

Denmark has provided two aid packages to Ukraine worth EUR 64 million. 44 million will be used to restore Mykolaiv region, provide water, rebuild infrastructure and support the population.
