Over the last day, 148 combat engagements were registered. The enemy carried out 89 air strikes, fired over 4,000 rounds of fire and engaged over 1,500 kamikaze drones. Ukrainian defenders are steadfastly holding back the onslaught of the occupiers.

Movement of enemy UAVs has been detected in Kyiv region, and air defense forces are working to destroy them. The Air Force has warned of a group of attack UAVs moving from Chernihiv region toward Kyiv region.

Over the last day, 166 combat engagements took place, most of them in the Pokrovske and Kurakhove sectors. The enemy carried out 104 air strikes and over 4,500 attacks, and Ukrainian forces repelled numerous attacks in various parts of the frontline.

Three Russian servicemen have been notified of being suspected of unlawful detention and sexual violence against a civilian woman in the village of Yahidne. The occupants ill-treated the victim, accusing her of collaborating with the Ukrainian Armed Forces.

The President of Ukraine announced the return of 95 Ukrainians from Russian captivity. Among those released are Azov fighters, defenders of Mariupol and other regions, and human rights activist Maksym Butkevych.

Ukrainian defense forces are repelling numerous attacks by Russian occupants in various sectors. The situation was the most intense in the Kurakhove sector, where the enemy made 42 attempts to break through.

On the night of October 16, 16 enemy UAVs, probably of the Shahed type, were shot down over Chernihiv, Sumy, and Poltava regions. A guided missile was also spotted flying overhead from the Kursk region.

Over the last day, 171 combat engagements were registered. The enemy launched 5 missile and 65 air strikes, making over 4,500 attacks. The most active attacks took place in the Kurakhove and Kupyansk sectors.

Rescuers continue to fight a peat bog fire in Chernihiv district. Over the past day, fires have been extinguished on 11 hectares, and another 20 hectares remain to be extinguished. The SES reminds of the danger of careless handling of fire.

Eight Shahed UAVs were spotted flying over Sumy, Poltava, and Chernihiv regions, 3 of which were shot down. X-59 cruise missiles were also spotted, but the targets were lost in the area.

At night, 12 out of 17 Russian attack drones were shot down over Ukraine. The enemy also launched missile attacks on Mykolaiv, Chernihiv, and Sumy regions.

Russian troops attacked Kupiansk and Izium districts of Kharkiv region with drones. In Kupiansk, a 56-year-old man was injured, and a grass fire was recorded on an area of 1 hectare.

Over the last day, 161 combat engagements took place. The most active enemy attacks took place in the Kurakhove sector, where the Defense Forces repelled 39 enemy attacks near several localities.

There were 169 combat engagements over the last day, with the majority of attacks in the Kurakhove sector. The enemy launched 2 missile and 74 air strikes, made over 5,000 attacks and engaged over 1,530 kamikaze drones.

The Ukrainian Air Force updated data on the movement of enemy UAVs. Drones were spotted moving in different directions near Chernihiv, Kropyvnytskyi and Dnipro.
