The third bridge over the Desna River, which was damaged during the hostilities, has been completed in Chernihiv Oblast. The 300-meter-long bridge ensures proper passenger and freight traffic.

Another bridge over the Desna River, destroyed by russians during the war, has been rebuilt in Chernihiv region. This was reported by the Service for the Restoration and Development of Infrastructure in Chernihiv region, UNN reports.

The Service emphasized the completion of the reconstruction of the 300-meter bridge across the Desna River, which ensures proper passenger and freight traffic.

This is one of three bridges across the Desna River that have been rebuilt and damaged during the fighting. The missing part of the span structure was restored, and the surviving part of the bridge was overhauled

At the beginning of the full-scale invasion, more than 25 bridges were reportedly destroyed in Chernihiv region. After the liberation of the region, a critical logistical situation developed: many settlements could only be reached by detour, and in some places food was transferred to the other side of the river using cables and a winch. Later, pontoons were built across the river and temporary bridges were set up , but they were inoperable during the winter ice drift.
