Pension Fund of Ukraine

The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has decided to transfer pension funds of internally displaced persons who have not used their accounts or undergone identification for more than a year to the Pension Fund of Ukraine for storage. The right to these funds fully remains with the pensioners, who can receive them after undergoing identification.

The Ministry of Social Policy has begun testing a new basic social assistance, which combines several types of payments for convenience. It is calculated individually, depending on the family composition and its income, with a basic amount of UAH 4500.

The Ministry of Social Policy states that all social assistance payments will be made within the terms defined by law. The administration of social payments has been transferred to the Pension Fund of Ukraine since July 1.

Parents of schoolchildren will be able to receive financial assistance on a virtual card in "Diia" after their child is enrolled in school. The funds can be spent only on children's goods in officially designated stores.

The Dnipro City Council spent almost half of its funds, UAH 56. 8 million, on debt repayment. Other city councils have different spending priorities, for example, Kryvyi Rih on court fees, and Kharkiv on scholarships.

Law enforcement officers have notified former officials of the Kyiv branch of the Pension Fund of Ukraine and representatives of private companies of suspicion. They are accused of embezzling over UAH 3.6 million in budget funds during the renovation of PFU buildings and the procurement of fire-fighting equipment.

From July, Ukraine is changing the voltage standard in the power grid to the European one, and salary indexation is returning. New rules for issuing IDP certificates and fines for tobacco traders are also being introduced.

From June 1, 2026, the rules for calculating and paying a single social contribution for persons deprived of their personal freedom due to Russian aggression will change in Ukraine. These changes provide a mechanism for the Pension Fund of Ukraine to calculate and submit reports on the SSC for such persons.

The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has amended the Procedure for Payment and Delivery of Pensions and Cash Assistance at the Place of Actual Residence. The updates concern adding a new column to the statements, replacing non-budget accounts, and clarifying financing mechanisms.

The Ministry of Social Policy of Ukraine reported that UN payments for pensioners, persons without pension rights, and people with disabilities have been extended until the end of July. Thanks to the joint program of the Ministry of Social Policy, the Pension Fund, and the WFP UN, which began in August 2023, over 315,000 Ukrainians receive financial support monthly.

The government has simplified the process of obtaining subsidies for family-type orphanages, foster families and large families. The purchase of housing, deposits and expenses for children are no longer an obstacle.

A pension certificate can be renewed online through the PFU web portal or the Pension Fund application, as well as offline - at the nearest PFU service center.
