At night and in the morning, Russian troops fired 25 times at the border areas of Sumy region. Thirty-eight explosions were recorded in 10 communities, using mortars, artillery, bombs and drones.

The head of Mykolaiv RMA reported several hostile attacks in the region, including drone strikes. The air defense forces actively responded to the threats, and there were no casualties as a result of the attacks.

The coming winter will be the most serious test for Ukraine due to Russian attacks on its energy infrastructure. The IEA predicts an electricity shortage of up to 6 GW and proposes measures to ensure energy security.

At night, the enemy shelled a power facility in Sumy region, cutting off power to Sumy and part of the region. Electricity consumption decreased by 4.3%, but Ukrenergo calls for economical use in the evening.

On the night of September 19, Ukraine's air defense repelled a large-scale attack. All 42 launched Shahed drones and an X-59/69 guided missile were shot down. The enemy also launched S-300/S-400 missiles at Kharkiv region.

Denmark has provided two aid packages to Ukraine worth EUR 64 million. 44 million will be used to restore Mykolaiv region, provide water, rebuild infrastructure and support the population.

Oleksandr Sienkevych, the mayor of Mykolaiv, said on Telegram that the sounds of explosions that residents can hear do not pose a threat. He urged citizens to remain calm.

On the night of September 18, Russia attacked Ukraine with 52 drones and 3 missiles. Ukrainian defense forces shot down 46 UAVs, 5 were lost to electronic warfare, and 1 returned to Russia. The missiles did not reach their targets.

The former director of the Kherson RMA Department is suspected of negligence. He accepted winter uniforms for the Armed Forces of Ukraine without quality certificates that did not meet the requirements, causing losses of UAH 18.7 million.

Most of the preparations for the heating season in Mykolaiv region have been completed. The region is installing solar panels to ensure the energy independence of critical infrastructure, spending about EUR 4 million.

Due to the heat wave, electricity consumption in Ukraine will increase, causing a shortage. Scheduled blackouts will take place from 17:00 to 21:00. Electricity is expected to be imported from 5 countries, 498 settlements are without power.

Air defense destroyed three Shahed UAVs in Mykolaiv region. The enemy fired on Kutsurubska and Ochakivska communities, damaging a residential building and setting off fires. There were no casualties.

Russian occupants launched 11 Shahed attack UAVs in Ukraine. All the drones were shot down by air defense forces in different regions of the country, including Mykolaiv, Kyiv and Kharkiv.

Russians continue to use the Kinburn Spit to shell the southern regions of Ukraine. This is blocking mine countermeasures in the area and the exit of 60 ships from Mykolaiv port.

Hot weather is expected in Ukraine on August 18, with temperatures reaching 35-36° in the south. In some places, there may be short-term rains and thunderstorms, especially in the western and central regions.

Ukraine's air defense forces shot down 14 Shahed attack drones launched by Russia at night. Air defense was active in six regions, and an Iskander-K cruise missile was intercepted.

Law enforcement officers detained six young men who had been setting fire to military equipment in Odesa and Mykolaiv on the orders of Russian intelligence. The offenders set fire to military off-road vehicles and railway infrastructure.

Three juveniles set fire to two vehicles of the Ukrainian Armed Forces in Mykolaiv on the instructions of Russian special services. The 16-year-old suspect faces up to 8 years in prison, while the other two are 13 and 14 years old.

Explosions were reported in Sumy and Dnipro. An air alert was declared in Kyiv and a number of regions due to the threat of ballistic missile attacks, as warned by the Ukrainian Air Force.

On the night of August 16, air defense systems shot down 2 Shakhtys in southern Ukraine. On August 15, 2 reconnaissance and 4 attack UAVs were destroyed. In Mykolaiv region, the enemy attacked a community with two FPV drones, no casualties were reported.

At night, 5 drones launched by Russia were shot down over Ukraine. The enemy also attacked with 3 Iskander-M ballistic missiles. Mobile firing groups and electronic warfare assets were involved in the air battle.

A 4-hectare fire has broken out in the Velyka Korenyha neighborhood of Mykolaiv Oblast. Car tires and dry grass are burning, and rescuers and utility workers are working at the scene.

In the Mykolaiv region, the Air Defense Forces destroyed five Shahed-136/131 UAVs during the night. Also, the enemy shelled the Kutsurub community during the night, but there were no casualties.

During the night, Ukrainian defense forces shot down all 29 Shahed attack drones launched by Russia. There was also a hostile attack of 3 guided air-to-surface missiles X-59 launched from the Kursk region of the Russian Federation.

The Ukrainian Air Force destroyed 17 of the 23 Shahed drones launched by Russia at night. The attack also included two X-59/69 missiles, and targeted several regions of Ukraine.

Russian troops fired 45 times in Sumy region, 95 explosions were recorded. The attacks on the Krasnopilska community resulted in one death and two injuries. Air bombs, artillery and drones were used.

On the night of August 13, 10 Shahed-136/131 drones were shot down in Mykolaiv region. The wreckage of one of them destroyed an outbuilding in Pervomaisky district, no one was injured.
