On the night of August 13, 2024, Russia attacked Ukraine with 2 ballistic missiles and 38 drones. Ukrainian air defense forces successfully destroyed 30 drones in different regions of the country.

A forest fire broke out in Mykolaiv district near the village of Polovynky. The SES localized the fire on an area of 5 hectares, 5 vehicles and 20 firefighters were engaged. The firefighting is ongoing, the cause is being established.

The EU funds a €2 million humanitarian demining initiative in Ukraine. 16 Belgian Malinois and 8 Ukrainian instructors were trained to search for mines in the liberated territories.

Russian troops shelled several communities in Mykolaiv region. Artillery, FPV drones, and an Iskander-M ballistic missile were used. Private houses were damaged, but there were no casualties.

The Deputy Minister of Energy of Ukraine and three accomplices were exposed on receiving a bribe of $500 thousand. The money was demanded for permission to export mining equipment from the frontline area.

As a result of Russian attacks on Ochakiv and Dniprovske village, 6 people were injured. Private houses, a car and agricultural machinery were damaged, and fires broke out. One woman is in serious condition.

No power outages are planned in Ukraine today. Due to the hostilities and technical disruptions, 491 settlements remain without power supply, and power companies have restored power to 4,713 consumers.

The Cabinet of Ministers has instructed the Ministry of Infrastructure to allocate UAH 2. 7 billion for the comprehensive reconstruction of several settlements. The funds will be used to restore critical infrastructure, housing and social facilities.

On the night of August 9, 2024, Ukraine shot down 27 Russian 'Shahed' attack drones. The attack was carried out from the Prymorsko-Akhtarsk area, and the drones were destroyed in seven regions of Ukraine.

An accident with victims occurred on the bypass road of Bobrynets, Kirovograd region. Vehicular traffic is temporarily restricted in both directions on 115 km of the H-14 highway.

Over 10,000 customers in Donetsk, Sumy, Dnipro, Mykolaiv and Zaporizhzhya oblasts have been cut off from power as a result of hostile shelling. Donetsk Oblast suffered the most, with 79.8 thousand customers in 135 settlements without power supply.

On August 7, at 14:37, Russian troops shelled the Kutsurubska community in Mykolaiv region with artillery. No casualties were reported as a result of the attack.

On August 8, Kyiv is expected to have comfortable weather without precipitation, up to +26°. Across Ukraine, the temperature will range from +25° to +32°, with partly cloudy skies and light rains possible in most regions.

In Mykolaiv region, a 24-year-old driver of a VAZ-2104 lost control and drove into a tree. The accident killed a 37-year-old passenger and injured the driver, a 3-year-old child and a 49-year-old man.

An explosion was heard in Snihurivka, Mykolaiv region. Local authorities are urging residents to stay away from windows and adhere to the two-wall rule, and an air alert was previously announced in the region due to a missile threat.

In Sumy district, mandatory evacuation was announced in 23 settlements of five communities. It is planned to evacuate about 6,000 people, including 425 children, primarily families with children.

The 53-year-old construction worker passed information about the location of Ukrainian troops in Mykolaiv to the FSB. He was preparing coordinates for an attack with drones and missiles, for which he faces up to 12 years in prison.

At night in Mykolaiv region, air defense forces destroyed 14 enemy 'Shahed' drones. The falling debris caused two dry grass fires, which were promptly extinguished. There were no casualties.

The Ministry of Energy reports a stable situation in Ukraine's energy system. Due to the hostilities and technical disruptions, 482 settlements remain without power supply, and power companies have restored power to 14,728 consumers.

On the night of August 6, 13 Shahed UAVs were shot down in Mykolaiv region. The enemy launched rocket attacks on Voznesensky and Mykolaiv districts and attacked the Kutsurubska community with a drone. Buildings were damaged and fires broke out.

In the western regions of Ukraine, short-term rains are expected, sometimes significant. The rest of the country will be mostly without precipitation. Temperatures will be 11-20° at night, 18-30° during the day, warmest in the south.

Ukrainian air defense forces destroyed 4 out of 6 missiles and 15 out of 16 drones launched by Russia at night. The attacks targeted Kyiv, Kherson, Mykolaiv, and Khmelnytskyi regions.

During the day, Russian troops carried out 35 attacks on the Sumy region, 104 explosions were recorded. As a result, one local resident was killed and two others were injured. The enemy used artillery, mortars and aerial bombs.

Terrorists launched a mortar attack on the waters of the Ochakiv community in Mykolaiv region. According to the head of the RMA, Vitaliy Kim, there were no casualties as a result of the shelling on August 4.

The Ukrainian Air Force spotted enemy drones in Sumy, Kharkiv, Dnipro, Kherson, Mykolaiv, and Kirovohrad regions. The UAVs are moving in different directions across the country.

Occupants shelled Ochakiv in Mykolaiv region. The attack wounded a 61-year-old woman and damaged 4 private houses. The shelling took place on August 4 at 05:12.
