On July 9, almost all of Ukraine will be gripped by heat up to +39 degrees Celsius, with the highest temperatures expected in the east, south, and center. The west will be more comfortable, and rain with thunderstorms is forecast for the western, northern, and Vinnytsia regions.

The administration of US President Donald Trump is considering providing Ukraine with an additional Patriot anti-aircraft missile system. This decision could be the first major weapons system provided to Kyiv without prior White House approval under President Biden.

The indictment against the current Head of the Antimonopoly Committee of Ukraine, Pavlo Kyrylenko, on charges of illegal enrichment of over UAH 72 million and declaring false information has been sent to court. The investigation established that in 2020–2023, he acquired 21 real estate objects and a luxury car, registering the property in the name of his wife's relatives.

In the Dnipro district of the capital, a 43-year-old man was detained for launching fireworks from a balcony while intoxicated. He faces up to 5 years of restricted freedom for hooliganism.

The SBI has completed its investigation into Serhiy Kolbin, commander of the Sevastopol "Berkut", and his subordinates. They are accused of killing Maidan activists and facilitating the occupation of Crimea, specifically of using prohibited ammunition on February 18, 2014, which led to the death of three people.
