Ukrainian Armed Forces Chief Oleksandr Syrskyi reported heavy fighting in the Pokrovsk sector and the defense of Toretsk. The Ukrainian military is also achieving new results in the Kursk region and replenishing the exchange fund.

The Pokrovska community of Donetsk Oblast has begun forced evacuation of families with children due to the approaching frontline. The decision concerns almost 4 thousand children from 14 settlements of the community.

The President of Ukraine discussed the situation in Donetsk region and the operation in Kursk region with the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Zelenskyy also heard a report on Ukraine's missile program.

Four people died and nine were wounded in the Donetsk region as a result of hostile shelling over the last day. Curfews have been tightened in some cities due to the difficult combat situation, particularly in the 10-kilometer zone from the frontline.

Evacuation of civilians in Donetsk region is progressing slowly. There are 795 children and 21,000 adults in Myrnohrad, 34 children and 2,500 adults in Selydove, and 1,500 people in Novohrodivka.

The head of the Pokrovsk MVA calls on residents to evacuate within 1-2 weeks due to the Russian military offensive. Every day 500-600 people leave, and forced evacuation of children is expected this week.

Due to the heat wave, electricity consumption in Ukraine will increase, causing a shortage. Scheduled blackouts will take place from 17:00 to 21:00. Electricity is expected to be imported from 5 countries, 498 settlements are without power.

Occupants attacked 12 settlements in Donetsk region, inflicting 2,806 strikes. They damaged 58 civilian objects, including 36 residential buildings, with Myrnohrad suffering the most.

Russian occupants launched 11 Shahed attack UAVs in Ukraine. All the drones were shot down by air defense forces in different regions of the country, including Mykolaiv, Kyiv and Kharkiv.

Ukrainian troops took control of Opanasivka, Snahost and Otruba in Kursk region. At the same time, Russian occupants are making progress in some settlements in Donetsk region.

Russian troops shelled the villages of the Velykonovosilkivska community in Donetsk region. A 25-year-old man was killed and another wounded. 13 private houses, a power line and a car were damaged.

The Russian command has transferred 5,000 troops from the front in Ukraine to the Kursk region to counter the Ukrainian offensive. Western analysts estimate Ukraine's forces in the region at 6,000 soldiers, with an additional 4,000 in Sumy region.

A 44-year-old man was killed in Myrnohrad when a shell hit near his car. Six private houses were damaged. Earlier, Russians shelled a 9-storey building, there are wounded.

On August 17, shelling in Donetsk region killed two people in Toretsk and Myrnohrad, and wounded eight others in different localities. Total number of victims in the region since the beginning of the invasion: 2161 dead, 5666 wounded.

There are 75-90 thousand Russian occupants in Zaporizhzhia region. Their number is not stable due to the constant movement of units between the frontline, in particular from Zaporizhzhia to Donetsk region.

An unfinished 9-storey building in Myrnohrad, Donetsk region, was damaged by enemy shelling. At least 3 people were injured and the rescue operation is ongoing.

Consumers in Donetsk, Zaporizhzhya and Sumy regions were left without electricity as a result of hostile attacks. Damage to gas pipelines left more than a thousand customers in four regions without gas.

Over the last day, the occupants attacked the settlements of Donetsk region 14 times. Two people died, one was wounded, and residential buildings and infrastructure were damaged. 2610 people were evacuated from the front line.

In the occupied territories of Ukraine, joining the DOSAAF will be compulsory from the age of 14. Russia is trying to prepare civilians for mobilization and involves children in the war against their homeland.

There were 99 combat engagements over the last day, 37 of them in the Pokrovsk sector. The enemy launched 5 missile and 56 air strikes, used 687 kamikaze drones and fired 3371 times at Ukrainian positions.

The head of the Donetsk RMA spoke about the restoration of fortifications destroyed by the enemy and the construction of new ones. Since the beginning of the war, more than 600 platoon strongholds have been built in Donetsk Oblast, and about UAH 2.6 billion has been spent.

In the temporarily occupied Mariupol, preparations are underway to accommodate refugees from the Kursk region. The plan is to use “ownerless” housing and apartments of Mariupol residents who are still waiting for the promised compensation housing.

The State Emergency Service reports a twofold increase in fires in Ukraine's ecosystems compared to last summer. Since the beginning of the year, 29 thousand fires have been recorded, 1200 of which were caused by enemy shelling.

More than 100,000 school diaries with Russian propaganda are to be distributed in the occupied Donetsk region. The diaries were developed by pseudo-historians with funding from the Kremlin and contain distorted historical facts.

There is a major fire in the Galaxy shopping center in temporarily occupied Donetsk. Local residents report damage to a residential building, and public media reports two dead.

Occupants shelled 12 localities in Donetsk region, inflicting 2,766 attacks. They used cluster munitions twice in Kostyantynivka, damaging 13 civilian objects.

The Russian army shelled Verkhnekamianske village in Donetsk region with artillery. The attack killed a 39-year-old man and a 60-year-old woman, said Vadim Filashkin, head of the Donetsk RMA.

Russia is redeploying rear units and reserves to the Kursk region, while activity and the pace of assaults on the front remain high. In the Pokrovsk direction, there were 9 clashes, and in the eastern directions, the National Guard repelled 19 attacks.

The SBU (Security Service of Ukraine) has detained a resident of Myrnograd - an informant of the Russian Federation, who was spying on HIMARS in the Pokrovsk direction. The suspect faces up to 8 years in prison.

During the day, the occupants attacked 7 villages of the Novhorod-Siverskyi and Semenivka communities. Artillery, mortars, FPV drones and "shahids" with explosives were used.
