According to the United Jewish Community of Ukraine, 35,000 Hasidic pilgrims have already arrived in Uman. It is expected that by the beginning of the celebration of the Jewish New Year, which will last from September 22 to 24, their number will increase to 38,000.
Every year, thousands of Hasidim arrive in Uman to celebrate Rosh Hashanah, which in 2025 falls on September 22-24. To ensure order and security in the city, enhanced security measures are in place, including round-the-clock duty of rescuers and joint patrols of Ukrainian and Israeli forces.
As of the morning of September 20, over 23,000 pilgrims, including 3,500 children, have arrived in Uman to celebrate the Jewish New Year, Rosh Hashanah. The interdepartmental headquarters operates around the clock, and the inspected shelters can accommodate only 13,500 people.
