Border guards in Zakarpattia region detected a group of men who were trying to illegally cross the border with Hungary. The men were were hiding in the woods near the border with bags of essentials, having paid smugglers from 500 to 4000 USD to help them cross the border illegally. After the detention, the group was taken to draw up administrative reports.

On the northern border with Russia, border guards record attempts by enemy sabotage and reconnaissance groups to enter the territory of Ukraine. The most active area for the enemy subversive reconnaissance group is currently Sumy region. But there is also activity of hostile subversive reconnaissance groups in Kharkiv region. Andriy Demchenko, spokesman for the State Border Guard Service, told this on the Frontline program

A 22-year-old Ukrainian man from Kryvyi Rih was detained by border guards while trying to illegally cross from Ukraine to Romania through the Carpathians. He hid his passport in a food container so that he could pretend to be a lost tourist in case of detention.

Three men from Ivano-Frankivsk, Zaporizhzhya and Sumy regions were detained by border guards in Chernivtsi region while trying to illegally cross the border with Romania on foot, hundreds of metres from the border. The men paid €6,000 each to a guide who remotely accompanied them.

About 1,300 trucks are currently waiting to enter Ukraine from the Polish side of the border, but border guards say drivers will not have to wait long to cross due to the high volume of traffic. Every day, about 3,000 trucks cross the border in both directions.
