Parliament passed a resolution to rename 327 settlements with Russian and Soviet names. The names of 10 cities, numerous towns and villages in different regions of Ukraine were changed.

The Verkhovna Rada has adopted a resolution to rename 327 settlements in Ukraine. Among the changes: Druzhba became Khutir-Mykhailivskyi, Novomoskovsk became Samar, and Chervonohrad became Sheptytskyi.

A forest fire near Balakliya in Kharkiv region has been extinguished for two days. The firefighting is complicated by forest mines and wind. 85 rescuers and 24 vehicles are involved.
