Russian troops shelled the town of Konstantinovka in Donetsk region. The attack damaged a Ukrzaliznytsia facility, with no casualties.

Russian troops have advanced into Toretsk and may attempt an offensive on Kostyantynivka. ISW analysts believe that without reinforcements from other parts of the frontline, the threat to the city will be insignificant.

Russian military forces likely executed three Ukrainian prisoners of war near the village of Neskuchne in Donetsk Oblast on January 3. According to DeepState, the prisoners had their hands bound and were shot in the back of the head.
