Oleksiy Honcharenko

Ukrainian politician, deputy
Oleksiy Oleksiyovych Honcharenko was born on September 16, 1980, in Odesa. He received two higher educations: in 2002, he graduated from Odesa National Medical University with a specialization in "pediatrics," and in 2005, he graduated from the Academy of National Economy under the Government of the Russian Federation with a specialization in "finance and credit." He began his political career in 2001, leading the youth wing of the Green Party of Ukraine in the Odesa region. He was a deputy of the Odesa City Council of the V and VI convocations (2006-2014), and also a deputy head of the Odesa Oblast Council. In August-November 2014, he served as the head of the Odesa Oblast Council. Since 2014, he has been a People's Deputy of Ukraine of the VIII and IX convocations, a member of the "European Solidarity" faction. Since January 2024, he has held the position of president of the PACE Committee on Migration, Refugees and Displaced Persons.
