Jeffrey Preston Bezos was born on January 12, 1964, in Albuquerque, New Mexico, USA, and graduated from Princeton University in 1986 with degrees in electrical engineering and computer science. Before founding Amazon, he worked on Wall Street for various companies, including Fitel, Bankers Trust, and D.E. Shaw & Co. In 1994, he founded Amazon, transforming it into a global e-commerce and cloud services platform. Today, he is the founder of the aerospace company Blue Origin, the owner of The Washington Post, and since 2021, he has served as the executive chairman of Amazon's board of directors.
