Yulia Tymoshenko

Yulia Volodymyrivna Tymoshenko was born on November 27, 1960, in Dnipropetrovsk, Ukrainian SSR, USSR (now Dnipro, Ukraine). She graduated from Dnipropetrovsk State University with a degree in engineering economics in 1984, and in 1999 she received her Candidate of Economic Sciences degree. She served twice as Prime Minister of Ukraine (2005, 2007–2010), being the first woman in this position. Currently, she is a People's Deputy of Ukraine and the leader of the political party "Batkivshchyna."
