The experts of the Kyiv Scientific Research Institute of Forensic Expertise are studying changes in Russian weapons for effective counteraction. Modifications to the S-300/400 missiles and the noise characteristics of the Shaheds, as well as the use of Western components, have been identified.

The Defense Council of Kharkiv region has decided to force evacuations from a number of communities due to the deteriorating military situation. The evacuation concerns children from the Borivska community and all civilians from four communities in the Kupiansk district.

A fire broke out in the frontline village of Kivsharivka in the Kharkiv region as a result of a Russian strike. Eight garages and a car burned down, 50 garage boxes were damaged, and the total area of the fire was over 240 square meters.

A 42-year-old man from the Lozova district has been raping his daughters, aged 10 and 13, since the spring of 2022. The suspect faces up to 15 years in prison and is being held without bail.

Due to Russian shelling and weather conditions, there are problems with electricity supply in Donetsk, Sumy, Kherson, Dnipro and Kharkiv regions. The power system remains balanced, but the Ministry of Energy is calling for energy savings.

Russian troops shelled Kupyansk-Vuzlovyi in the Kharkiv region. An 82-year-old woman was injured in the attack, and a total of 1 person was killed and 8 wounded in the region over the past 24 hours.

There were 169 combat engagements over the last day, with the majority of attacks in the Kurakhove sector. The enemy launched 2 missile and 74 air strikes, made over 5,000 attacks and engaged over 1,530 kamikaze drones.

Over the last day, 146 combat engagements took place, most of them in the Kurakhove and Kupyansk sectors. The enemy carried out 59 air strikes, 602 kamikaze drone strikes and fired over 3,700 times at Ukrainian troops' positions.

In September 2024, 208 civilians were killed in Ukraine, the highest number of casualties in a year. The majority of casualties (92%) and infrastructure damage (96%) occurred in government-controlled territory.

The mayor of Kharkiv reported the arrival of a guided aerial bomb in the forest belt of the Shevchenko district. According to preliminary reports, there were no casualties or damage, and an explosion was heard outside the city.
