Lutsk
A city in western Ukraine
Lutsk is a city in western Ukraine, the administrative center of Volyn Oblast. The city has an area of 40.23 km² and, as of 2023, a population of 215,986 people. It is one of the oldest cities in Ukraine. In the Middle Ages, it was the capital of the Galicia-Volhynia Principality and hosted a congress of European monarchs in 1429. It is home to the famous Lubart's Castle, the Saints Peter and Paul Cathedral with its adjacent dungeons, and the House with Chimeras.
