A city in Ukraine, the administrative center of Kirovohrad Oblast, Kropyvnytskyi urban territorial community, and Kropyvnytskyi Raion. It is located in the central part of Ukraine. As of 2025, the population is 215,445 people. The city's area is 115 km². At various times, it was known as Yelysavethrad, Zinovievsk, Kirovo, and Kirovohrad. In July 2016, as part of decommunization, it was renamed Kropyvnytskyi.
