Due to grid constraints, Kharkiv and Odesa regions are subject to emergency outage schedules, but electricity imports from 5 countries are planned, and no shortage is expected in the power system.

Blackout schedules are in effect in Kharkiv and Odesa regions due to network restrictions. Electricity imports are planned from 5 countries. No deficit in the power system is expected. This was reported on Wednesday by NPC Ukrenergo, UNN writes.

Generation and consumption

"In all the affected cities, critical infrastructure has been fully powered and electric transport has been partially restored," the company said.

It is also stated that "the possibility of supplying electricity through the networks of regional power distribution companies has been restored for all consumers who were de-energized as a result of Russian missile and drone attacks on energy facilities.

"But at Ukrenergo's substations, which transmit electricity from power plants to regional power distribution networks, heavy high-tech equipment has been damaged, and its replacement will take time," the company said.

"Because of this, in the most affected regions, consumers receive electricity in turns - that is, hourly blackout schedules are in effect," the NPC said.

Currently, consumption restrictions, as noted, are applied to:

- Kharkiv region

- Odesa region

"There are currently no restrictions in Khmelnytskyi region and Kryvyi Rih. But with the growth of consumption, the Dispatch Center of Ukrenergo will be forced to apply measures to limit consumption," the company said and urged to consume electricity sparingly.

"The State Emergency Service and repair crews are working at the power plants affected by Russian missiles, dismantling the rubble and fixing the damage," the NPC added.

Sunny weather is said to be favorable for the operation of solar power plants. Yesterday afternoon, from 16:15 to 17, the operation of 398 MW of renewable energy facilities was limited to maintain the balance in the power system.

Import and export

"Imports: in the morning and later during the day from Romania, Slovakia, Poland, Hungary, and Moldova. The total volume is 12,802 MWh, with a maximum capacity of up to 1,537 MW in some hours. Exports: not planned," Ukrenergo said.

De-energization

Yesterday in Kharkiv, the regional power company restored electricity supply to 1,938 consumers.

As of the morning, 393 settlements are without power supply. Due to hostilities: new power cuts in Dnipropetrovs'k and Donetsk regions.
