Moldovan President Maia Sandu condemned the violation of the country’s airspace on August 10 after a drone fell and exploded in the village of Crocmaz in southeastern Moldova. Politico reports, UNN writes.

The drone crashed in Crocmaz on Sunday and caused a fire that damaged several facilities, but no one was killed. Following a preliminary analysis of the wreckage, local police said the device could be a "missile-like drone."

"I strongly condemn the latest violation of our airspace. This is a direct consequence of Russia’s war, and it puts all of us at risk,"

Sandu wrote.

She also emphasized that the risk to people’s lives in the region is growing.

Crocmaz is located near the border with Ukraine and Odesa region, which was subjected to a massive Russian missile and drone attack that same day.

Moldovan police said that no other devices of this type have so far been found in the country. Law enforcement officers continue their investigation to establish the drone’s exact type and origin, as well as the circumstances of its fall.
