Six winners of the Radio Dictation 2024 were announced, including one participant who wrote a text without errors. A total of 12,000 entries were submitted from Ukraine and 33 countries.

The names of the winners of the Radio Dictation 2024 have been announced, with one winner not making a single mistake and five others making two, UNN reports with reference to Media Center Ukraine.

Details

The winners of the Radio Dictation 2024 were announced during a press conference at the Media Center Ukraine.

Of the six winners announced, one did not make a single mistake, while five made two. And there are no winners with one mistake.

This year, the text of the Radio Dictation was written without a single mistake by Khrystyna Hoyaniuk, a resident of Lviv who has won the National Unity Radio Dictation at least five times before.

Participants with two mistakes in the text also won:

  • Natalia Timicheva;
  • Andrii Bondar (teacher of Ukrainian language and computer science at Krusyn Gymnasium of Hlevakha Village Council in Kyiv Oblast);
  • Yulia Pereshch (from the Oster Lyceum No. 1 of the Oster City Council of the Chernihiv region);
  • Daria Kryachko;
  • Natalia Rubezhanska.

Despite the fact that people were worried that the text was complicated, I think we did quite well, because everyone was hesitant about punctuation, thinking that there would be a lot of mistakes. But in fact, there weren't. As it turned out, the punctuation was not that bad, and most of the mistakes were not punctuation errors

- added Yulia Sheludko, executive producer of Ukrainian Radio and coordinator of the Radio Dictation.

Yulia Sheludko also added that in total, about 12 thousand letters were received after the dictation, including letters in Braille.

Interestingly, the letters came not only from Ukraine but also from abroad. For example, from such countries as Germany, Italy, Bulgaria, Austria, Hungary, and Poland.

There were also e-mails  from Albania, Australia, Azerbaijan, Belgium, Bulgaria, Canada, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Ireland, Israel, Italy, Kazakhstan, Latvia, Lithuania, Mauritius, Norway, Poland, Romania, Russia, Slovakia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Turkey, Tunisia, the United Arab Emirates, the United Kingdom, the United States, and the United States.
