Law enforcement officers detained three Russian agents involved in the explosions in Odesa. One terrorist attack was carried out by students, the other by a repeat offender who planted a bomb under a taxi driver's car.
Law enforcement officers detained the perpetrators of both terrorist attacks that occurred in Odesa on July 28 of this year. As a result of comprehensive measures within 24 hours, three Russian agents were detained, who planted homemade bombs under the cars of a Ukrainian soldier and a civilian, reports UNN with reference to the SBU.

As the investigation established, the perpetrators of the first explosion turned out to be two students of a local technical school, who, on the orders of the Russians, mined the car of a Ukrainian serviceman.
In addition, the suspects placed a video camera disguised in a juice box with remote access function for the enemy near the "target."
Using the disguised device, Russian intelligence officers tracked the serviceman's approach to the car and remotely detonated it.
As a result of the detonation, the victim sustained minor bodily injuries, and his vehicle was significantly damaged.
Also, law enforcement officers "in hot pursuit" detained the perpetrator of another high-profile terrorist attack that occurred on the same day in the port city.
He turned out to be a local repeat offender who had previously been repeatedly brought to criminal responsibility for drug trafficking.
The attacker planted a homemade bomb under the car of a civilian who worked part-time as a taxi driver. According to preliminary expert conclusions, the power of the explosive was almost half a kilogram of TNT.
According to the case materials, Russian intelligence officers remotely detonated it while the car was moving, as a result of which the driver died on the spot, and a female passenger sustained serious injuries and was hospitalized.
It was established that the Russians recruited all the suspects through Telegram channels for finding "easy" earnings.
During searches, mobile phones and replacement SIM cards with evidence of working for the enemy were seized from the detainees.
Currently, investigators of the Security Service have already notified two of the suspects of suspicion under Part 2 of Article 258 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (terrorist act). They face up to 12 years in prison with confiscation of property.
Another suspect – under Part 3 of Article 258 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (terrorist act resulting in the death of a person). He faces life imprisonment with confiscation of property.
The suspects are in custody.
