SBU and GUR entered the top four best intelligence services in Europe according to L'Express

SBU and GUR took fourth place in the ranking of European intelligence services by L'Express, scoring 77 points. Experts noted the ingenuity of Ukrainian intelligence services and their complex operations.

The Security Service of Ukraine and the Main Intelligence Directorate took fourth place in the ranking of the best intelligence services in Europe, compiled by the French publication L’Express. This is reported by UNN.

Ukraine scored 77 points and surpassed in the ranking the intelligence services of Germany, Poland, Sweden, Norway, Estonia, Denmark, Romania, Spain, Finland, and other European countries. The first three places were taken by Great Britain (MI6), France (DGSE), and the Netherlands (AIVD).
As the publication notes, 60 specialists from intelligence services of various countries were involved in the evaluation. Each of them voted for five foreign intelligence services, based on their own professional experience. The main evaluation criteria were effectiveness and reliability.
Why Ukrainian intelligence services received a high rating
According to L’Express, experts from 25 countries noted the ingenuity of Ukrainian intelligence services, their ability to conduct complex special operations, and their willingness to take high risks.
One of the European intelligence officers compared the SBU and GUR to the Israeli intelligence service "Mossad." Among the examples that, in his words, demonstrate the high level of work of Ukrainian intelligence services, he named the operation "Pavutyna" (Web) and the eliminations of Russian generals.
