On the night of August 14, the enemy attacked Ukraine with S-300/400 missiles and 45 Shahed attack UAVs. Defense forces shot down 24 enemy UAVs and decoy drones in the north and east of the country.
The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine adopted the first package of support for frontline territories, which covers housing, security, support for people, business, and health. The program is designed for 238 communities in 10 regions, covering 6.6 million Ukrainians.
The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported 49 enemy attacks on the positions of the Defense Forces as of 4 p. m. on August 13, with most of the battles taking place in the Pokrovsk direction. Ukrainian military repelled numerous assaults and attacks in various directions, continuing to contain the occupiers' offensive.
In Kherson and Donetsk regions, Russian drones attacked passenger cars and an ambulance. As a result of the attacks, one person died and five more were injured.
In the morning, an enemy drone attacked a civilian car in the Yunakivka community of Sumy region. Two women sustained minor injuries, their lives are not in danger.
Russia launched 2 ballistic missiles and 49 drones at Ukraine. Air defense forces shot down or suppressed 2 missiles and 32 drones.
The Ukrainian Air Assault Forces state that Putin's plans for Sumy region are doomed to fail. The enemy will face minefields, swamps, and devastating losses, similar to those near Bakhmut.
Russian troops are actively shelling Sumy, Chernihiv, and Kharkiv regions with artillery, mortars, and drones. A significant increase in the use of drones has been recorded, and Kharkiv and Sumy regions are also suffering from air raids.
At night, Russia launched 4 ballistic missiles and 48 drones at Ukraine. 36 UAVs were neutralized, but 12 drones and 3 missiles were recorded hitting seven locations.
On August 11, 122 combat engagements took place at the front, the enemy launched 51 air strikes. The Ukrainian Defense Forces cleared the settlements of Stepne and Novokostiantynivka in the Sumy region.
President Zelenskyy held a Staff meeting, where it was decided to allow brigades to independently purchase pickups and other equipment. Funding for combat units will also be significantly increased, and the award procedure will be maximally shortened.
During the night, Russians attacked the Shostka community in Sumy region. An infrastructure facility, two residential buildings, and agricultural warehouses with equipment were damaged.
The Armed Forces of Ukraine have completely cleared the village of Bezsalivka in Sumy region of Russian troops. The operation was carried out by assault regiment and battalion units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, eliminating 18 occupiers.
The Ministry of Health of Ukraine reported that 24% of water samples at bathing sites do not meet microbiological standards. Of 104 samples taken, 25 were found to be contaminated.
Russian troops likely seized about 500-550 sq. km of Ukrainian territory in July 2025, continuing their offensive in the Donetsk region. At the same time, losses and Ukrainian counterattacks likely thwarted Russia's plans to create a buffer zone in the Sumy region.
On the night of August 9, the enemy attacked Ukraine with 47 attack UAVs and two "Iskander-K" missiles. Defense forces neutralized an "Iskander-K" missile and 16 enemy UAVs in the north and east of the country.
Law enforcement officers announced 45 suspicions to officials in Sumy and Rivne regions. Damages to local budgets are estimated at UAH 40 million, unpaid taxes and undeclared property were discovered.
The Ministry of Justice has filed a second lawsuit to the court regarding the seizure of assets of Russian senator Sergey Kalashnik for the benefit of the state. The lawsuit concerns the right to claim under contracts with Motorodetal-Konotop LLC for an amount exceeding 95 million hryvnias.
On the night of August 8, Russian troops attacked Sumy region with attack UAVs, wounding a 54-year-old man. Non-residential buildings, a shop, cars, multi-story buildings, and social infrastructure facilities were damaged.
Since the beginning of August 7, 69 combat engagements have taken place on the front. Pokrovsk and Lyman directions became the epicenter of more than half of these battles.
In Donetsk region, an enemy drone hit a Ukrposhta car, killing Olga Bordunova, head of the mobile post office. The driver, Pavlo, was wounded, but his condition is improving.
President Zelenskyy visited the command post of the 225th Separate Assault Regiment in Sumy region. Needs, provisions, and training were discussed, as well as the liberation of Andriivka and Kindrativka.
Since the beginning of the current day, 87 combat engagements have taken place at the front, with over a third of them in the Pokrovsk and Northern Slobozhanshchyna and Kursk directions. The enemy launched air strikes and artillery shelling on border areas.
A downed enemy attack drone with clusters of PTM-3 anti-tank mines was found in the Sumy region. Russian invaders could have remotely mined roads and agricultural lands.
Over the past day, 61 combat engagements took place, more than a third of which occurred in the Pokrovsk direction. In the Lyman direction, 11 enemy attacks were recorded, and airstrikes and shelling covered border settlements.
The head of the Main Intelligence Directorate, Kyrylo Budanov, stated that he sees no problem with an intelligence officer having sex with a prostitute if it is necessary for the mission. He emphasized that there is nothing forbidden if it is needed to achieve the goal.
In Sumy region, Russian assault operations continue within the Khotyn and Yunakivka communities. The enemy cannot advance deep into the region, despite the activity of infantry groups.
Andriy Demchenko, spokesman for the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine, reported that active hostilities continue in Kharkiv Oblast, but the enemy is unable to advance deep into the territory. The Russians are not using equipment, which may indicate a shortage of it or fear of destruction.
Fighters of the "Timur Special Unit" of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine stopped the advance of Russians in the Sumy direction. The enemy lost 334 soldiers killed and 550 wounded, and the supply of provisions and ammunition was disrupted.
President Zelenskyy reacted to Russia's night attack with ballistic missiles and "Shaheds". One person died in Lozova, 10 were injured, including children.
