A drone hit a civilian VAZ car with a trailer in Kupyansk district of Kharkiv region, killing a 60-year-old man and injuring a 59-year-old man with shrapnel.

Russian occupiers use infantry groups in the Sumy region within the Khotyn and Yunakivka communities. Their activity has significantly decreased, which hinders advancement deep into Ukrainian territory.

In the week from June 16-22, over 350 people were evacuated from Sumy Oblast; in total, over 12,000 residents have been moved since March. Despite the shelling, Sumy continues to function, and authorities are working to create conditions for safe living in the region.

During the day, 69 combat engagements took place on the front, of which 30 attacks were carried out in the Toretsk and Pokrovsk directions. Ukrainian soldiers are repelling enemy attacks, while Russian troops are trying to advance in Donetsk and Kharkiv regions.

Ukrainian military of the 225th separate assault unit liberated the village of Andriivka in the Sumy region. This allowed to stop the enemy's advance and strengthen the defense on the left flank, according to Deep State.

On the night of June 22, Russian troops attacked Ukraine with missiles and drones. Air defense forces neutralized 28 Shahed-type attack UAVs, but hits were recorded in seven regions, including Chernihiv, Sumy, and Odesa.

In Sumy region, a multi-level defense system against Russian drones is being deployed. Mobile groups are already operating, detecting and shooting down enemy drones, and nets are also being installed along roads.

Since the beginning of the day, 91 battles have taken place at the front. About two-thirds of the combat engagements were recorded in the Pokrovsk, North-Slobozhansky, Kursk, and Lyman directions. The Defense Forces of Ukraine are holding back the advance of the Russian occupiers, repelling their attacks.

Over half of the total number of battles for the day occurred in the Pokrovsk and Lyman directions. The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reports 88 clashes.

Ukrainian Armed Forces, National Guard, and State Border Guard Service soldiers released from Russian captivity. Most of the military personnel had been in captivity since 2022, fighting on various fronts.

Due to the ongoing war, young Ukrainian women are increasingly choosing universities abroad, particularly in Poland. They aim to avoid the stress of air raids and see better career opportunities outside of Ukraine.

The Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine has approved changes to the rules for distance learning, which will come into force on September 1, 2025. Minimum occupancy requirements for distance classes and a mechanism for supporting teachers have been introduced.
