Historical and geographical region of Ukraine
Prykarpattia is a historical-geographical and ethnocultural region of Ukraine, covering most of Ivano-Frankivsk Oblast, as well as the foothill districts of Lviv and Chernivtsi Oblasts. The region is characterized by rich natural, historical-cultural, and tourist-recreational potential, possessing significant reserves of timber and minerals.
The economy of Prykarpattia has an industrial-agrarian character, with developed industries, construction, transport, communications, and food processing. The tourist-recreational sector is a strategic direction of development, contributing to the growth of the region's economic potential and attracting investments.
