During the meeting of the Contact Group on Defense Issues of Ukraine, Rustem Umerov (Ramstein Group), the Minister of Defense of Ukraine provided international partners with a clear example of how air defense systems affect the situation on the battlefield. UNN writes about it with reference to Umerov's speech at Ramstein.

Details

Umerov told his partners that russia was constantly using aerial bombs against the Defense Forces on the front line. However, when the Ukrainian Armed Forces downed three russian fighters in a day, russia began to use less aerial bombing.

In one of the hottest areas of the front, russian aircraft were dropping 5 to 60 KABs per day. The situation changed when Ukrainian air defense systems shot down three enemy bombers in one day. They did this thanks to the military assistance you provided. At that point, the russian bombing stopped. For more than 11 weeks

- Umerov said.

The Defense Minister emphasized that as soon as Kyiv receives the necessary air defense systems, the Defense Forces will be able to deter the enemy and liberate the territories.

Addendum

In addition, Umerov explained that most of russia's successes on the battlefield are achieved due to its superiority in the air.

Due to air and artillery superiority, the russians destroyed Avdiivka. They did so at great human cost, without gaining any strategic advantage

- said the Minister of Defense of Ukraine.
