US President Donald Trump doubts the desire of the Kremlin leader Vladimir Putin to achieve peace and believes that Russia seeks to fully occupy Ukraine. This was stated by White House Chief of Staff Susie Wiles, as reported by UNN with reference to her interview for Vanity Fair.

According to the publication, there were different opinions among the members of the US President's team as to whether Putin could be satisfied with anything less than a full occupation of Ukraine. At the same time, Trump himself believed that the Russian leader was not seeking peace.
