Russia may be preparing new attacks on Ukraine from Belarus and the Bryansk region - Zelenskyy
Kyiv • UNN
Russia is considering scenarios for new attacks on northern Ukraine from Belarus and the Bryansk region. Zelenskyy has ordered the strengthening of defenses and diplomatic pressure on Minsk.

Russians are considering scenarios for additional attacks on Ukraine from the direction of Belarus – Bryansk region. This was reported by the President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyy, during his evening video address, according to UNN.
Today there was a meeting of the Staff. We discussed in detail with the military, intelligence services, the SBU, and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs what is currently happening in the Belarus – Bryansk region direction. It is from there that the Russians are considering scenarios for additional attacks on Ukraine – against the northern regions, our Chernihiv-Kyiv direction. Of course, we are already working to strengthen our defense in this direction
According to him, relevant instructions have been given to the military command, but separately we are also taking preventive steps regarding both Belarus and specific parts of Russia from where there is a threat.
I expect the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine to be as active as possible in diplomatic work regarding Belarus: we need to increase pressure and strengthen coordination with our partners. To be honest, I am tired of the constant threat to Ukraine that the Russians might at some point drag Belarus into expanding the war. They must understand: there will be consequences for them, and they will be significant. There are additional tasks regarding this threat for our intelligence – tasks that are currently non-public. Separately, regarding Russian territory: we also have specific capabilities to respond to any threat
