Russia received additional ballistic missiles from North Korea — Zelenskyy

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that Russia had received additional ballistic missiles from the DPRK and was planning to deploy an additional contingent on its territory, reports UNN

For the first time, they cannot wage war without reinforcements from North Korea. They are now preparing to deploy another additional contingent of Koreans on their territory. Imagine, they have received additional ballistic missiles from North Korea. And everyone in the world must understand what this means. This is not only about the lives of people in Ukraine, and not only about the threats to us specifically

- Zelenskyy said.

He added that ballistic missiles from North Korea, as well as its other weapons, are being improved through collaboration with Russia.

The more North Korean strikes we have here in Ukraine—in Europe—the more their missiles and soldiers are used, the more they correct their shortcomings and lack of knowledge, the greater the dangers will consequently be later for Japan, the Republic of Korea, the Philippines, and other countries in the region. Therefore, when we talk about the need for joint action, the need for coordination and mutual support, when we talk about the need to help us with air defense, we are also, in fact, talking about discouraging North Korea's appetite and interest in coming here, to our land, into our skies, with its weapons in order to learn how to wage war

- Zelenskyy added.

We remind you

The DPRK is interested in gaining experience from Russia's war against Ukraine, which could be used to prepare for a new stage of aggression on the Korean Peninsula. Pyongyang may also see additional opportunities through the confrontation between the United States and Iran.
