Not only Patriot: Ukraine works with Germany on additional IRIS-T system

President Zelenskyy announced that Germany would provide Ukraine with an additional Patriot air defense system, and that work is underway to obtain an additional IRIS-T system and missiles for existing air defense systems from Germany.
President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that work is underway with Germany on an additional IRIS-T system - which is also a strong air defense system - and on missiles for our existing air defense systems. He said this in an evening video address, UNN reports.
"...there is a very good result in our international work: Germany will provide us with an additional Patriot - today we agreed with Chancellor Scholz on this. We are also working with Germany on an additional IRIS-T system, which is also a strong air defense system, and on missiles for our existing air defense systems. Germany's leadership is really felt, and thanks to this leadership, we will be able to save thousands of lives and give Ukraine more protection from Russian terror," Zelenskyy said.

The President assured that Ukraine will continue to work with all partners who can also help.
