According to the Israeli side, the underground infrastructure was a key element of Hezbollah's plans to infiltrate communities in northern Israel.
The statement also noted that the operation took place after Hezbollah, according to Israel, violated the ceasefire the day before. At the same time, Israeli authorities did not specify what violation was involved.
Israel threatens harsh response to new attacks
Netanyahu and Katz emphasized that Israel will not allow violations of the ceasefire agreements and will respond to any threats.
