An enemy drone was spotted flying from Cherkasy region to Kyiv region. An air alert has been announced in Kyiv, Cherkasy, Sumy and Donetsk regions. At night, defense forces shot down 66 of 78 Shahed UAVs.

On the night of September 24, Ukraine's air defense repelled a large-scale attack involving 85 air attack aircraft. 66 Shahed attack UAVs were shot down and other enemy missiles were detected.

The Kordon Race obstacle course race was held in Lviv to raise funds for an inclusive sports ground.

The Ministry of Defense has opened a recruitment center in Cherkasy. More than 10,000 vacancies are available in various law enforcement agencies, including the Armed Forces, National Guard, Security Service and State Border Guard Service. Issuance of summonses is prohibited at the Center.

Two laboratory-confirmed cases of West Nile fever have been reported in Khmelnytsky Oblast. The patients - a 55-year-old man and a 21-year-old girl - sought help on August 31 and are currently undergoing inpatient treatment.

On the night of September 19, Ukraine's air defense repelled a large-scale attack. All 42 launched Shahed drones and an X-59/69 guided missile were shot down. The enemy also launched S-300/S-400 missiles at Kharkiv region.

A 27-year-old drunken man threatened to detonate grenades, issuing an ultimatum to the police. A measure of restraint in the form of nightly house arrest was imposed on the suspect.

On the night of September 18, Russia attacked Ukraine with 52 drones and 3 missiles. Ukrainian defense forces shot down 46 UAVs, 5 were lost to electronic warfare, and 1 returned to Russia. The missiles did not reach their targets.

Ukrainian defenders successfully destroyed an enemy Shahed drone over Cherkasy region. The incident occurred at night and did not have any consequences for the region.

Russian occupants launched 11 Shahed attack UAVs in Ukraine. All the drones were shot down by air defense forces in different regions of the country, including Mykolaiv, Kyiv and Kharkiv.

Hot weather is expected in Ukraine on August 18, with temperatures reaching 35-36° in the south. In some places, there may be short-term rains and thunderstorms, especially in the western and central regions.

Ukraine's air defense forces shot down 14 Shahed attack drones launched by Russia at night. Air defense was active in six regions, and an Iskander-K cruise missile was intercepted.

The head of the Donetsk RMA spoke about the restoration of fortifications destroyed by the enemy and the construction of new ones. Since the beginning of the war, more than 600 platoon strongholds have been built in Donetsk Oblast, and about UAH 2.6 billion has been spent.

In Ukraine, on August 16-18, heat is forecast to reach +37° in the southern and central regions. In the west and north, short-term rains with thunderstorms are possible, while in other regions it will be mostly without precipitation.

During the night, Ukrainian defense forces shot down all 29 Shahed attack drones launched by Russia. There was also a hostile attack of 3 guided air-to-surface missiles X-59 launched from the Kursk region of the Russian Federation.

In Sumy, the sounds of explosions were recorded during an air raid that has been going on for ten hours. Earlier, the Air Force reported an enemy drone on the border of Cherkasy and Poltava regions.

A man and a woman were poisoned in Sumy region by fake sprinklers collected in their own yard. Doctors at the Hlukhiv hospital provided assistance, and the victims' condition is improving.

Law enforcers exposed a large-scale scheme of embezzlement of budget funds for defense needs. 28 people are suspected of involvement in the crimes, the total amount of losses is over UAH 1.5 billion.

On August 8, Kyiv is expected to have comfortable weather without precipitation, up to +26°. Across Ukraine, the temperature will range from +25° to +32°, with partly cloudy skies and light rains possible in most regions.

An air alert lasted for more than 8 hours in Cherkasy region. During this time, Ukrainian defenders destroyed two enemy drones. The survey of the area is ongoing, and no calls for help have been received from the population.

At night, Russian troops launched 30 Shahed attack drones from Russian territory. Ukrainian air defense forces shot down all drones over 7 regions of Ukraine.

On August 7, short-term rains and thunderstorms are expected in Ukraine, except for the western and eastern regions. The temperature will be 13-22° at night and 22-31° during the day. In the Kyiv region, there will be some rain, at night 13-18°, during the day 22-27°.

In the western regions of Ukraine, short-term rains are expected, sometimes significant. The rest of the country will be mostly without precipitation. Temperatures will be 11-20° at night, 18-30° during the day, warmest in the south.

In Kiev and the Kiev region, explosions are heard, air defense is probably working. An Air Alert has been issued, and there is a threat of the use of ballistic weapons in the areas where the alarm has been issued.

An outbreak of acute intestinal infection occurred in Cherkasy after eating sushi at a restaurant. 8 people, including 3 children, were hospitalized with a diagnosis of bacterial intestinal infection. An epidemiological investigation is underway.
