"Report by the head of Naftogaz, Sergiy Koretskyy. I am grateful for the professional and prompt work to hold Russia financially accountable for everything it does against Ukraine and our Ukrainian companies. We are fighting in all jurisdictions and utilizing all necessary legal tools. Currently, there is a positive decision in the judicial system of Kazakhstan – a ruling for 1.4 billion dollars," Zelenskyy stated on social media.
He noted that this is the court of first instance. "There is still work to be done, but the direction is correct," the President noted.
Legal proceedings are also ongoing in other countries for fair compensation for Ukrainian assets in our Crimea stolen or destroyed by Russia. There are already concrete results in ten jurisdictions for the freezing and recovery of Russian assets; we are scaling up the legal work as well,
"Separately, Sergiy and I discussed current cooperation with our neighbors in the European Union to strengthen our energy resilience. It is important that the principle of reciprocity in relations actually works. Thank you!" the President indicated.
