Military personnel on the front lines will be paid an average of 300,000 hryvnias under new contracts. The Cabinet of Ministers will launch the updated payment mechanism as early as June.
President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced payments averaging 300,000 for military personnel and contracts with clear conditions, terms of service, and deferments; the first additional payments are expected "as early as June," UNN reports.

The President indicated that yesterday and today are "a very active time for our political decisions." "Yesterday, I held meetings with Prime Minister Yuliia Svyrydenko, Minister of Defense of Ukraine Mykhailo Fedorov, and Minister of Finance Serhii Marchenko. Commander-in-Chief of the AFU Oleksandr Syrskyi and Chief of the General Staff Hnatov confirm. A path has been agreed upon – to increase the financial stability of our defense and ensure the further transformation of the Ukrainian army. He emphasized: "Everything rests on the Ukrainian infantry, on our Ukrainian infantryman."
Contracts will be developed to ensure clarity: contract terms of 10 months, 14, 24, and specific conditions, meaning clear deferments. Guaranteed terms and real deferments. In addition, payments for Ukrainian combat commanders will be increased, which should create a positive incentive to preserve command experience in the army. More opportunities for attracting foreign volunteers
"Second – I am grateful to all volunteers from other countries who fight for our freedom in Ukraine, understanding that this concerns the freedom of many other nations. I have instructed to open significantly more opportunities to attract foreign volunteers to the Ukrainian army, and there will be more recruitment mechanisms regarding this," Zelenskyy indicated.
Simplification of transfers
"Third – further simplification of transfers for warriors, more opportunities to grow in the army, and more positive incentives to join the defense," the President reported.
