The SBU CI neutralized a large-scale FSB agent network that was preparing missile, bomb and drone strikes by Russia in six regions of Ukraine. As a result of a multi-stage special operation, 9 Russian agents were simultaneously detained in Dnipro, Zaporizhzhia and Sumy, as well as in Donetsk, Odesa and Kirovohrad regions

For the sake of conspiracy, according to the SBU, the defendants acted separately, but "relied" on one FSB officer. The SBU has already identified him. "On the instructions of the Russian special service officer, the agents collected coordinates for the fire damage of the Defense Forces and critical infrastructure facilities," the SBU said.

"The enemy group consisted of two officials. One of them is an official of Dnipro City Council, the other is the head of a department in Yuzhne City Council in Odesa region," the SBU said.

"Two more agents were reconnoitering the locations of fortifications and firing positions of heavy artillery of the Armed Forces of Ukraine near Pokrovsk and Chasovyi Yar. Their accomplice was collecting information about the concentration of personnel and military equipment of the defenders of Kurakhove in Donetsk region," the SBU said.

Also among the Russian agents, according to the intelligence service, were "two managers and a university student who recorded the movement of the Armed Forces echelons towards the eastern front.

Another traitor, according to the SBU, was "an ex-officer of the disbanded police who 'reported' to the occupiers on the consequences of the Russian attack on one of Ukraine's hydroelectric power plants.

According to the investigation, the defendants came to the attention of the FSB as active "commentators" on pro-Kremlin Telegram channels.

SBU investigators have now served them suspicion notices under Part 2 of Art. 111 (high treason committed under martial law) of the Criminal Code. The perpetrators are in custody. They face life imprisonment with confiscation of property.
