Reportedly, the man also reconnoitered the locations of the Defense Forces training centers and the main logistical routes for transporting munitions to the front line.
In order to obtain intelligence, the agent regularly traveled around the area looking for suitable locations, and also "in the dark" asked his acquaintances for the information he needed during everyday conversations. To do this, he tried to establish friendly relations with local residents who were involved in military service.
In case of receiving the coordinates of the Ukrainian Armed Forces base, the agent had to immediately "report" to the occupiers to prepare an air strike on the targets.
According to the investigation, the enemy accomplice was a local 40-year-old manager, an ideological supporter of racism. In the spring of 2024, he got in touch with the FSB through his relatives living in Russia and cooperating with the Russian secret service.
During the searches, mobile phones with evidence of his intelligence and subversive activities in favor of Russia were seized from the detainee.
SBU investigators served him a notice of suspicion under Part 2 of Article 111 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (high treason committed under martial law).
The FSB agent is currently in custody. He faces life imprisonment with confiscation of property.
