NATO Joint Forces Commander Alexus Grynkewich commented on reports that Ukrainian drone operators "defeated" alliance forces during military exercises in Sweden. This was reported by The Guardian, according to UNN.

According to Grynkewich, too much attention is being paid to the first days of the exercises rather than the results achieved by the end of the maneuvers. He stated that after initial difficulties, NATO military personnel demonstrated a "rapid increase" in their ability to counter drones.
The commander emphasized that the exercises yielded "real results" and allowed alliance troops to quickly adapt to modern warfare conditions.
Ukrainian drone operators exposed NATO's weak points
Earlier, the Associated Press reported that during exercises in Sweden, Ukrainian drone operators effectively identified critical NATO vulnerabilities in the field of drone countermeasures. According to the maneuver scenario, Sweden faced a threat from an unnamed state building up forces near the alliance's eastern border.
Ukrainian military personnel were invited to share drone warfare experience gained during the full-scale war with Russia. During the exercises, the Ukrainians played the role of the simulated adversary.
Reaction of the parties
A 24-year-old Ukrainian drone pilot told the AP that their team effectively "destroyed" the Swedish forces during the maneuvers. At the same time, NATO emphasizes that the main goal of the exercises was precisely to identify weak points and improve tactics for countering modern drones.
Rear Admiral Jonas Wikström, who led the exercises, stated that the scenario involving sabotage, power outages, and infrastructure attacks "could theoretically happen tomorrow."
