Five regions partially without power due to Russian attacks and bad weather; energy workers wounded in Kharkiv region

Parts of 5 regions are without power due to enemy attacks, in Sumy region - also due to bad weather, in Kharkiv region - power engineers were wounded by an enemy drone; no blackout schedules are expected, the Ministry of Energy reported on Wednesday, UNN writes.

Enemy attacks

"As a result of hostilities and shelling of energy facilities, some consumers in Dnipropetrovsk, Donetsk, Zaporizhzhia, Sumy, and Kharkiv regions temporarily remain without electricity supply," the report says.

Power engineers are working in an intensified mode to restore electricity supply to all subscribers as quickly as possible. Restoration work continues around the clock. 

"In the Kharkiv region, while performing their duties, a crew of power engineers came under fire from an enemy UAV. As a result of the attack, two employees were wounded. The victims were taken to the hospital, where medics provided all necessary assistance," the ministry stated.

Bad weather

"Due to bad weather, 15 settlements in the Sumy region remain without electricity supply," the report says.

Repair crews are working on restoration.

Schedules and consumption

"The application of restrictions is not forecasted for today," the Ministry of Energy reported.

However, they emphasized that active energy consumption today should be shifted to the daytime - from 10:00 to 16:00. During evening hours, consumers are asked, if possible, to use electricity sparingly - from 18:00 to 22:00. This helps reduce the load on the system.

According to Ukrenergo, electricity consumption has increased against the background of cloudy weather and rain in parts of Ukraine's regions, which causes low efficiency of household solar power plants and a corresponding increase in energy consumption from the general grid.
