Britain could host the Olympics again; government explores bid for 2040s Games

The Department for Culture, Media and Sport announced that discussions are already underway regarding support for a future bid. This also includes the possibility of hosting other major tournaments, specifically the Ryder Cup and the Solheim Cup in the 2030s.

The statement notes: "Initial work to explore whether the UK could host the Olympic and Paralympic Games for the first time since London 2012 will include an assessment of key factors such as potential cost, socio-economic benefits, and the chances of success for any bid."
