Numerous explosions were heard in the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine on the evening of May 28 and the night of May 29 amid a large-scale drone attack. This was reported by agents of the ATESH partisan movement, according to UNN.

According to ATESH, the first explosions occurred in Mariupol, where Russian air defense activity was also reported in the port area. Later, movement agents reported a series of powerful explosions in Donetsk, specifically near the airport and the railway station. A powerful explosion was also reported in the Proletarskyi district of the city.

In addition, explosions and air defense operations were recorded in Yenakiieve, and in Ilovaisk, according to ATESH information, an electrical substation was hit. In the Luhansk and Donetsk regions, according to movement agents, more than 150 drones were present simultaneously, and aviation activity was also observed.

Strikes on energy infrastructure reported

ATESH also reported large-scale power outages in occupied Melitopol and Berdiansk. According to the movement, the cause was hits on energy infrastructure facilities. Later, power supply disruptions were also reported in some districts of Donetsk.

Earlier, monitoring channels reported a mass launch of Ukrainian drones and missiles toward the temporarily occupied territories and Russia. There is currently no official confirmation of the results of the strikes from the Ukrainian side.
