Roksolana Pidlasa

People's Deputy of Ukraine

Roksolana Andriivna Pidlasa was born on January 25, 1994, in Cherkasy. She studied at the Physics and Mathematics Lyceum of her hometown, and during 2011–2014 she was a member, later Vice President for International Relations of the youth public organization "European Youth Parliament — Ukraine," representing it at over 30 conferences in various European countries. During the Revolution of Dignity, she covered events on Euromaidan in an English-language blog and communicated with foreign media, including Swedish Radio and BBC World Service. She obtained a higher education degree at the Faculty of International Economics of Vadym Hetman Kyiv National Economic University, and a second degree at the Kyiv School of Economics in "Public Policy and Governance." In 2014, she interned at the European Union Delegation to Ukraine and at the American Chamber of Commerce. Since 2016, she worked at the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade, progressing from head of the communications team to advisor to the minister and spokesperson of the institution, and in 2018 she initiated the launch of the National Internship Program in central executive authorities, which opened access to civil service for thousands of young people. In 2019, she was elected a People's Deputy from "Servant of the People," and in December 2022, she headed the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Budget.
